UV Sheet Price in Pakistan: Types, Colours and Where to Use Them

UV sheets are the glossy, mirror-like boards and panels now used in kitchens, wardrobes, TV units and feature walls across Pakistan. This hub explains the two things people mean by the name, how UV sheet price in Pakistan is worked out, and how to choose the finish, colour and thickness before you ask for a quote. Use the guides below for design, colours, high gloss and wall use. For other board materials, see our MDF and HPL sheets and PVC sheets ranges.

What a UV sheet is

A UV sheet is a board or panel finished with a coating that is cured under ultraviolet light. The cure is fast and leaves a hard, smooth, very glossy surface that resists scratches and wipes clean in seconds. In Pakistan the name covers two different products, and mixing them up is the most common reason quotes do not match.

The first is the UV board: an MDF or HDHMR core with a UV-cured coating, sold in 8 x 4 ft sheets for cabinets, wardrobes and furniture. The second is the UV marble sheet: a thin PVC sheet printed with a marble pattern and finished with a UV gloss, used to clad walls. They look alike in a photo but are fixed, cut and priced in different ways.

UV sheet designs and finishes

UV boards come in plain colours, wood grain, marble and stone looks, textured surfaces and metallic tones. The finish changes how the room feels: high gloss reflects light and makes small rooms look larger, while a matt or semi-matt UV finish hides fingerprints better.

Our UV sheet design guide shows which patterns suit kitchens, wardrobes and TV walls, and which combinations look dated. If you are still choosing between a gloss and a satin finish, read the page on high gloss sheets first.

Choosing a UV sheet colour

White, cream and light grey remain the safest picks because they brighten the room and pair with any countertop. Charcoal, deep blue and olive green are now common for island units and TV walls. Wood-look and marble-look designs are best used on one surface, not on every door.

Gloss shows colour more strongly than matt, so a shade that looks calm on a sample can look bold on a full wardrobe. Always view a full sheet in the room light, and read the UV sheets colours page for pairing ideas.

Using UV sheets on walls

For walls, the UV marble sheet is the usual choice: it is light, waterproof and cut with a fine saw, so a feature wall can go up in a day without wet work. UV boards can also clad a wall, mainly behind a TV or a bed, but they need a flat base and sealed edges, and they are heavier.

Our guide to UV sheets for walls covers fixing, joints and the rooms where each type works, including kitchens and bathrooms.

Thickness and sheet size

The standard sheet is 8 x 4 ft, which is 2440 x 1220 mm or 32 sq ft. UV boards for furniture usually come in 18 mm for carcasses and doors, with thinner boards for backs and drawer bottoms. UV marble sheets are much thinner, so they need a flat wall behind them and are not used for load-bearing furniture.

Because the sheet area is fixed, comparing quotes is simple: divide the price per sheet by 32 to get the rate per square foot, and compare the same thickness and the same core material.

Care, edges and what to avoid

A UV surface needs only a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents, which dull the gloss. Keep hot pans away from edges, and never let water stand at an unsealed cut edge, because the core, not the coating, is what swells.

On cabinets the edge band matters as much as the face: ask for an edge band that matches the sheet and is fitted with hot-melt glue and a clean trim. For wall sheets, seal the joints with colour-matched sealant and leave a small gap for movement.

How UV sheet price is worked out

There is no single UV sheet price, because the figure depends on the core, thickness, finish, brand and how many sheets you order. A thin UV marble sheet and an 18 mm UV board are different products with different rates, and a quote that does not say which is meant cannot be compared.

We quote each sheet in writing with the size, thickness and finish, so the figure is current on the day you order.

UV Sheets: Frequently Asked Questions

A UV sheet is a board or panel with a coating cured under ultraviolet light, giving a hard, glossy, easy-clean surface. In Pakistan it usually means either a UV board with an MDF or HDHMR core for cabinets, or a thin PVC UV marble sheet for walls.

The rate depends on the core material, thickness, finish, brand and order size. A UV marble PVC sheet and an 18 mm UV board are priced differently. Ask for the price per 8 x 4 ft sheet with thickness stated, then divide by 32 for the rate per sq ft.

UV gives a deeper gloss and a seamless look, while laminate gives more pattern choice and stronger impact resistance. UV scratches and shows fingerprints more than matt laminate, so it suits upper cabinets and feature doors better than heavy-use drawers. Choose by use, not only by look.

Yes, UV boards are widely used for kitchen cabinet doors, and UV marble PVC sheets work as a splashback. Keep edges sealed and do not mount cabinets directly over a hob without a heat shield. A wipe-clean gloss suits cooking areas well.

The coating is hard, but a gloss finish shows fine scratches and fingerprints more than a matt one. Use a soft cloth, avoid abrasive pads, and choose a semi-matt or textured finish if the surface will see heavy daily use, such as a child's wardrobe.

The standard size is 8 x 4 ft, which is 2440 x 1220 mm or 32 sq ft. Boards for furniture are commonly 18 mm thick, while UV marble wall sheets are much thinner. Always confirm thickness and size when you compare quotes.

The PVC core and the UV surface do not absorb water, so they suit bathrooms, kitchens and splashbacks. Seal the joints and the edges with sealant, and fix the sheet to a dry, flat wall with the right adhesive for the best result.

Send the sheet type, thickness, finish and the quantity or the size of your wall on WhatsApp. We reply with a written rate per sheet that is current on that day, so you do not have to rely on an old price list.
