Kitchen Appliances in Pakistan: Hobs, Hoods, Ovens, Ranges and Price Ranges
Kitchen appliances in Pakistan are chosen around how you cook: gas for daily cooking, a hood strong enough for frying, an oven or microwave for the rest. They also decide the cabinet sizes, the gas and electric points and the ventilation, so they should be chosen before the cabinets are cut. This guide compares the main appliances, gives indicative price ranges for each and links to a guide on every type. For the cabinets themselves, see kitchen cabinets.

Choose by how you cook
Heavy frying and daily roti-making need a strong hood, a robust hob and an easy-clean surface. Baking and reheating need an oven or a microwave, but a good gas hob and hood matter more for most Pakistani kitchens. Start with the hob and hood, then add the oven.
Gas, electric and dual fuel
Most homes cook on natural gas or LPG, so choose hobs and ovens with jets for your fuel and check the pressure. Electric ovens and microwaves are useful where gas is limited, and dual-fuel appliances give flexibility. Ask for the right jets and a flame-failure safety device.

Plan appliances before the cabinets
Appliance sizes decide cabinet widths, cut-outs and services. A built-in oven needs a tall or under-counter housing, a hob needs a counter cut-out and a hood needs a duct and a power point. Bring model numbers and the manufacturer's installation sheet to the measurement visit.

Warranty and servicing
Buy models with a local warranty and a service network, and keep the receipt and serial number. Check that spare parts such as burners, filters and igniters are available. A cheap unbranded appliance can be costly if it cannot be repaired.
Ventilation and safety
Install gas appliances with approved hoses and fittings, keep flammable items away and ventilate well. Do not block hood ducts, and clean filters regularly to reduce fire risk. Ask a qualified technician to fit and test gas connections.
How we quote
Send the room size, a sketch or photo and the finish you like. We confirm what we can supply and reply with a written rate that lists every item. Before you order, confirm the exact size or model, ask for the specification and warranty in writing, and compare totals including fitting and delivery rather than the item price alone. To get a close first estimate, clear the area, mark sockets, switches and pipe positions, note the ceiling height and photograph the space from two corners.

Start with the hob and the hood, because they decide the layout, the ventilation and the gas points. Then add an oven or microwave, and choose models before the cabinets are cut so the cut-outs and housings match the appliances. Ask for the specification in writing so you can compare quotes on the same basis.
Indicative ranges are PKR 8,000 to 32,000 for built-in gas hobs, PKR 27,000 to 50,000 for hoods, PKR 13,000 to 23,000 for solo microwaves and PKR 12,500 to 15,500 for electric baking ovens, with premium models higher. Confirm current rates. Check the warranty terms and who honours them before you pay.
A hood placed over the hob captures smoke and grease at the source and suits frying and spice cooking. An exhaust fan on the wall helps general ventilation but is less effective. Many kitchens use a hood plus a window or fan. Measure carefully and confirm sizes with the supplier before ordering.
Many hobs and ovens can run on either, but they need the right jets and the right pressure setting. Ask the supplier to supply and fit the correct jets for your fuel, and have a technician test the connections for leaks. Prices and stock change, so confirm the current position before you commit.
They usually cost more than free-standing ones because of the finish and the installation, but they look tidier and save counter space. Plan the cabinet housings early, and check dimensions, because built-in sizes are fixed. If in doubt, send a photo and the measurements and we will advise.
Send the model you are considering, your cabinet or hob size and the room on WhatsApp. We confirm what we can supply and reply with a written rate that lists the model, size and warranty, so you can compare it with other quotes and with the indicative ranges on this page.
