Lasani Sheet Price in Pakistan

Plain, laminated, textured and UV-finish rates for 8×4 ft sheets in every thickness — with Al-Noor, ZRK and Patex compared side by side. Market rates verified August 2026.

What “Lasani Sheet” Actually Means in Pakistan

Lasani started as a brand, not a material. It is the MDF board brand of Al-Noor — the Lasani MDF Board Division of Al-Noor Sugar Mills Ltd. The name caught on so completely that it became the everyday Pakistani word for laminated MDF board in general.

So when a dealer quotes you a “Lasani rate”, they are quoting a category. Ask which mill it came from. The same 16mm laminated sheet may be Al-Noor, ZRK, Patex, KMI or Kashmir — and at the premium end the price gap between them reaches PKR 4,000 per sheet.

What it is made of. Lasani sheet is medium density fibreboard: wood fibre bonded under heat and pressure into a dense, perfectly flat panel with no grain, no knots and no voids. That flatness is why it beats plywood for painted, laminated and veneered work — and why its cut edges need sealing.

17mmPKR 5,800 – 6,400
24mmPKR 9,500 – 10,500

12mm is stocked but rarely quoted separately — most 12mm figures online are plywood, not MDF. The range shown is interpolated between 10mm and 15mm. 15mm rates vary widely between dealers; get it confirmed.

Laminated, Textured & UV

3.2mm LaminatedPKR 1,400 – 1,800
16mm LaminatedPKR 4,000 – 4,800

Lamination premium runs roughly +75–100% on thin decorative sheets and +35–60% to step from plain lamination up to a UV finish. Single-sided versus double-sided lamination is quoted on request — no dealer publishes it.

Which Lasani Finish Do You Actually Need?

Plain Lasani

Raw board with no surface finish. The choice when your workshop applies its own laminate, paint or veneer. Cheapest per sheet, but budget for the finishing work on top — and remember plain board shows every handling mark.

Laminated Lasani

Melamine or PVC laminate factory-bonded to one or both faces. Ready to cut, edge-band and assemble. This is what most furniture workshops in Pakistan buy, and 16mm is the workhorse thickness for wardrobes and cabinets.

Textured & UV Gloss

Textured gives a matt wood-grain feel; UV gives a hard, mirror-gloss surface cured under ultraviolet light. UV is the premium option for modern kitchen shutters and TV units — it resists scratching far better than standard laminate.

Al-Noor vs ZRK vs Patex — Where the Price Actually Differs

A useful thing most price guides miss: at mid-range thicknesses these brands are priced almost identically. At 16mm textured and 16mm UV high-gloss, dealers quote Al-Noor and ZRK at the same number. Choose on stock and design availability, not price.

They separate at the premium end. On 17mm UV super-gloss the spread is real money — roughly PKR 4,000 per sheet between the cheapest and the dearest. On a 30-sheet kitchen job that is PKR 120,000.

ZRK advertises E1 formaldehyde certification on its Swiss MDF line. E1 is a real emissions standard and worth asking any dealer to evidence on a bulk order, whatever the brand on the sticker.

HDHMR is mainly an Indian-market product and moisture-resistant HMR board is generally imported to order in Pakistan — neither has a published local rate. Ask us and we will quote against your spec.

Picking the Right Thickness — and Not Ruining It in a Wet Area

2.2–3.2mm: drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, decorative facings. 6.5–10mm: partitions, wall panelling, shutters, false ceilings. 15–18mm: wardrobe carcasses and shutters, kitchen cabinets, office furniture, beds, doors. 24–25mm: worktops and heavy shelving.

Two Pakistani quirks worth knowing. Sheets here come in 6.5mm, not 6mm — and for UV and laminated finishes the standard is 17mm, not the 18mm you may be expecting from plywood. Specify the number your fabricator actually needs.

The wet-area warning. You will see Lasani advertised as moisture and termite resistant. Treat that claim carefully: standard MDF is not moisture resistant, and a laminate on the face does nothing for the edges. Nearly every failed MDF kitchen in Pakistan starts at an unsealed edge under the sink, not on the visible surface. For kitchens and bathrooms use MR or HMR grade or marine ply, and seal every cut edge and every screw and hinge hole whatever grade you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions — Lasani Sheet Price

What is the Lasani sheet price in Pakistan today?

As of August 2026, a plain 8×4 ft Lasani sheet ranges from about PKR 700–1,100 for 2.2mm up to PKR 9,500–10,500 for 24mm. The most commonly bought size, 16mm laminated, sits at roughly PKR 4,000–4,800 per sheet. UV high-gloss sheets run PKR 6,500–13,500 depending on brand. Sheet prices move with import costs and exchange rates, so confirm the current rate before ordering.

Is Lasani a brand or a type of sheet?

Both. Lasani is the MDF board brand of Al-Noor (Lasani MDF Board Division, Al-Noor Sugar Mills Ltd). Over time the name became the everyday Pakistani word for laminated MDF board in general, so dealers now sell Plain Lasani, Laminated Lasani, Textured Lasani and UV Lasani as categories filled by several manufacturers including Al-Noor, ZRK, Patex, KMI and Kashmir.

Is Lasani sheet waterproof or moisture resistant?

No. Standard Lasani sheet is not waterproof. The fibre core absorbs water through cut edges and screw holes and swells permanently, and a decorative laminate on the face does not protect the edges. For kitchens, bathrooms and other wet areas use MR or HMR grade board or marine plywood — and seal every cut edge and every hinge or screw hole regardless of grade.

What is the standard Lasani sheet size in Pakistan?

8 ft × 4 ft (2440 × 1220 mm) is the standard sheet across Pakistan. Thicknesses commonly stocked are 2.2, 3.2, 6.5, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 24–25mm. Note that Pakistan sells 6.5mm rather than 6mm, and that 17mm rather than 18mm is the usual thickness for UV and laminated sheets.

What is the 12mm Lasani sheet price?

12mm is stocked but few dealers publish a separate rate for it, and most 12mm prices circulating online are for plywood rather than MDF. Expect 12mm Lasani to fall between the 10mm and 15mm rates, roughly PKR 3,900–4,600 plain as of August 2026. Ask for a quote on the exact thickness rather than relying on an online figure.

Which Lasani brand is best — Al-Noor, ZRK or Patex?

At mid-range thicknesses the brands price almost identically, so choose on stock and finish availability. They separate at the premium end: for 17mm UV super-gloss, ZRK, KMI and Kashmir sit around PKR 9,500, Al-Noor around PKR 11,800 and Patex around PKR 13,500. ZRK advertises E1 formaldehyde certification on its Swiss MDF line, which is worth asking any dealer to evidence on bulk orders.

How can I tell genuine Lasani sheet from low-quality stock?

Genuine board is noticeably heavy for its size and gives a dull, dense thud when tapped rather than a hollow sound. Colour should be uniform with no dark patches, edges clean and sharp rather than flaking or gritty, and thickness consistent when measured at several points. A faint woody smell is normal; a sharp chemical odour is not. On bulk orders ask for the mill density, moisture and formaldehyde test report.
