Size and hanging height
A common rule is that the diameter in inches is about the room's length plus width in feet, so a 12 x 14 ft room suits roughly a 26 in chandelier. Fixing, weight and safety
A chandelier needs a strong fixing point into the slab or a proper support, not only a false ceiling board. Heavy crystal pieces need rated hooks and a safety wire. Plan the wiring and the position before the false ceiling closes.
Care and cleaning
Dust crystal gently with a soft cloth or a spray cleaner, switch off before cleaning and check bulbs and holders. A yearly check of the fixing and wiring is worth doing, especially for heavy chandeliers.
