PVC Wall Sheet in Pakistan: Where to Use It, Sizes and How It Is Fixed
A PVC wall sheet is a large, waterproof board that covers a whole stretch of wall in one piece, with no grout lines and no wet work. It is used in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and feature walls where tile is slow or paint does not last. This guide covers sizes, thickness, where the sheet works, how it is fixed and how it differs from slim wall panels. It belongs to our PVC sheets range, and per-sheet rates are in the 4x8 PVC wall sheet price guide.
What a wall sheet is
A wall sheet is a rigid or semi-rigid plastic board, usually 8 x 4 ft (2440 x 1220 mm), made in plain colours, wood patterns and marble looks. It is light, does not absorb water and can be cut with a fine saw, so one person can fit a wall in a few hours.
Because a single sheet covers 32 sq ft, there are very few joints, which is the main advantage over tile and over narrow wall panels.

Sizes and thickness
The standard size is 8 x 4 ft. Thickness ranges from thin sheets of about 3 mm to firmer boards of 12 mm and more. Thin sheets suit flat walls and ceilings; thicker sheets hide minor wall variation and feel more solid. Pick the thickness by the wall condition and the traffic.
| Where | Suggested thickness | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Feature wall, bedroom | Thin to medium | Light, easy to fit |
| Kitchen splashback | Medium | Wipe-clean and firm |
| Bathroom wall | Medium | Waterproof surface, fewer joints |
| Shop or reception wall | Thicker | Takes knocks better |
Published per-sheet PVC rates by thickness are in the 4x8 wall sheet price guide.
Where wall sheets work best
They are strongest where water and cleaning matter: kitchen walls behind the counter, bathroom walls above the tray, laundry and utility rooms, and commercial kitchens. They also work for feature walls behind a bed or a TV, for shop interiors and for ceilings in damp rooms.
They are not a structural material and should not be used where a wall takes impact from furniture or trolleys without a thicker sheet or a protective rail.
wall sheet against tile and wall panels
Tile is durable but slow, messy and full of grout lines. A wall sheet is quick and waterproof, with few joints. Slim wall panels are tongue-and-groove strips with a visible line every few inches and a wider choice of 3D, fluted and wood designs. If you want a seamless surface, choose the sheet; if you want texture and pattern, see our wall panels range.
How a wall sheet is fixed
- Prepare the wall: dry, clean, flat, and free of loose paint.
- Measure and cut: mark with a pencil and a straight edge, and cut with a fine-tooth saw.
- Apply adhesive: use a construction adhesive suited to PVC, in beads or a grid.
- Press and level: fit from a level line and press out from the centre.
- Finish the joints: use a trim or sealant at joints, corners and edges.

Care and limits
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents. Keep the sheet clear of direct flame and very hot surfaces, because PVC softens with heat. In a kitchen, leave a gap or fit a heat-resistant panel behind the hob.
What affects the rate
The rate depends on thickness, finish and brand. Plain sheets are the most economical; UV marble and thicker imported sheets cost more. Our published figures by thickness are on the 4x8 page, and we confirm the current rate in writing when you ask.

Wall Sheet: Frequently Asked Questions
A wall sheet is a large, waterproof plastic board, normally 8 x 4 ft, used to cover walls without tile or paint. It is light, cut with a fine saw and fixed with adhesive, which makes a clean, nearly joint-free wall in a fraction of the time of tiling.
Yes, they suit bathroom walls because the surface does not absorb water. Use waterproof adhesive, fix to a dry flat wall, and seal the top edge and every joint. Do not rely on the sheet to hide damp, which must be fixed first.
A sheet is one large board with few joints, while a wall panel is a narrower tongue-and-groove strip with a visible line every few inches and more 3D and fluted designs. Choose the sheet for a seamless look and the panel for texture and pattern.
Thin sheets suit flat feature walls and ceilings, medium sheets suit kitchens and bathrooms, and thicker sheets suit shops and busy walls where knocks are likely. A thicker sheet also hides small wall irregularities. Confirm the thickness when comparing quotes.
On a flat dry wall, a handy person can cut and fix a sheet with construction adhesive and a straight edge. Large walls, marble-look joints and corners are tidier when done by a fitter, because gloss shows every gap and uneven cut.
