Measuring your floor area
Floor area is length times width for each room, added together. Measure to the walls; you do not subtract for skirting. If a room is L-shaped, split it into rectangles, measure each and add them. Flooring is sold and fitted by the square foot, so this area is all you need. Add around 5–8% for cuts and wastage, more if the planks run diagonally or the room has many alcoves.
Vinyl, SPC and wood — what the rate covers
The per-square-foot rate includes the flooring plus underlay, skirting and installation. Cost is driven by the material: vinyl is the most affordable and fully waterproof; SPC is a rigid, hard-wearing step up that handles heavy use and stays stable in heat; engineered and solid wood sit at the top for looks and feel. Standard 2026 rates span a wide band — roughly PKR 150 per square foot for basic vinyl up to PKR 750 and beyond for premium wood — which is why the quality toggle makes a large difference here. Match the material to the room: waterproof vinyl or SPC for kitchens and bathrooms, wood-look for bedrooms and lounges.
